Summer Fayre
Friday 17th June 2022
Dear Parents/Carers,
Once again, I would like to say how grateful we are as staff at Tyndale for your support with fundraising events. The Cake and Craft sale was a huge success raising over £310 for our outdoor quad area. This will help pay for a waterproof canopy so that the area can be used in all weather conditions.
We are very excited to be announce that we will be running our first Summer Fayre on Wednesday 13th July. The event will run from 3pm to 5pm – the school day will officially end at 3pm and children will need to be picked up from their classes at this time.
The event will take place on the school field, however, if weather does not permit, the event will be moved indoors to the KS2 building. There will be a huge variety of stalls, including tombolas, food, refreshments, hook a duck game, a coconut shy game and crafts including keychains and loom band accessories. There will also be an ice-cream van.
For the bottle tombola that will run, we are kindly asking for donations of bottles. This could be anything in a bottle such as: shampoo, soft drinks, water, beer, wine or shower gel. Please give any donations to your child’s class teacher. Also note the raffle will be for 18 year olds and over.
We are also putting out a request for parent helpers to help run our stalls and to ensure the event runs smoothly. It was fantastic to have a couple of parent helpers at the Cake and Craft sale and we would love to open up this opportunity to more parents and carers. If you would like to volunteer your help, please speak to your child’s class teacher who can answer any questions for you regarding what support is needed and when.
We will be accepting cash payment only and kindly ask that you bring coins, as opposed to notes, because of the limited amount of float money we will have to begin with. If you, or someone you know, would like to run a stall at the Summer Fayre, then please contact your child’s class teacher or admin@tyndaleprimary.co.uk (the email can then be forwarded to the relevant person).
We cannot wait to host a final event for this academic year before we break up for the summer holidays.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely
Ms K Parkhouse
