Partial School Closure - TODAY
Dear Parents and Carers,
Due to the planned national and local industrial action, which has been announced by the National Education Union (NEU), there will be a partial school closure today affecting the year groups below:
- EYFS
- Year 4
School is open as normal today to Years 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 and pupils are expected to attend. Individual families who have been contacted personally by myself can attend school as normal today even if their child’s year group is closed.
Free School Meals - Pick Up Service
If your child is in receipt of benefits related free school meals and their class is closed today, we have a pick up service available for you to collect your child’s hot meal via the red fire doors that lead to the KS1 hall. The pick up service will be running between 11.30 and 12.15pm. The menu for takeaway meals today is tomato pasta with garlic bread and gingerbread biscuits.
Please note the minor changes to the school dinner menu this week, as shared with you in the letter sent out earlier in the week, the school meal available to children attending school today is pizza and tomorrow the roast dinner will be served.
Protecting the health and safety of our pupils is our first priority. We’d like to thank you for your understanding to enable us to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at the school.
School will be open to all as normal tomorrow (Thursday 2nd February 2023) and I will communicate with you nearer the time to inform you of any possible disruptions that may arise on future strike days (2nd March, 15th and 16th March).
Kind regards,
Ms K Parkhouse
(Headteacher)
